I ask for your vote on November 6, 1979 on the basis that I am the more qualified candidate for the Office of Commonwealth Attorney.

I am 32 years old. I graduated from the University of Virginia in 1969 and the University of Virginia School of Law in 1972.1 have been practicing law for 7 34 years.

I worked as a police officer in the City of Virginia Beach for the summers of 1970 and 1971. My duties included making arrests, patrolling on foot and in police vehicles, serving warrants, testifying in court, and aiding citizens.

I served in the United States Air Force for 4 years, as a lawyer. For two of those years I was a prosecutor, representing the United States in the investigation and prosecution of criminal offenses.

If elected, I will bring to the office of the Commonwealth Attorney my training, my experience, and my dedication to the principle of equal treatment under the law for all
