Mrs. Mabel Jenkins Racer, 71, of Harrisonburg died Tuesday, October 30, 1979 at her home. She was born October 15, 1908 in Rappahannock County, the daughter of the late S. P. and Vinnie Burke Jenkins.
She was a member of Marlow Heights Baptist Church in Front Royal where she lived until 1978.
Survivors include her husband, Clarence Racer; one daughter, Mrs. Donald L. Glick of Port Republic; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A funeral service will be held Friday at 10 a.m. from Kyger and Trobaugh Funeral Home in Harrisonburg conducted by the Rev. Sam
Jones and the Rev. Tom Geiman. Graveside rites will be held at 1 p.m. in the Washington, Va. Masonic Cemetery.
