Shakespeare is alive and well this fall at the Wakefield Country Day School in Huntly. The English Department has attempted to coordinate its Preparatory School reading program with the Wayside Theatre’s own celebration of the Bard in its fall schedule of theatrical performances.
Beginning on October 19, the Wayside Theatre on Tour presented excerpts from Shakespeare’s plays to Wakefield’s entire student body (grades 1-12). Students of all ages enjoyed scenes from The Tempest, As You Like It, Taming of the Shrew, Romeo and Juliet, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
