Eldred questioned whether the high school currently has 43 per cent excess space over the minimum amount per pupil recommended by the state as claimed in a space study report submitted by Robert Eastham and Allen Stokes two weeks ago.
“I’m not prepared to accept the recommendations of two or three laymen,” Eldred wrote, referring to the space study completed by Stokes and Eastham with help from Master son.
Eldred noted that the findings of the three men contradicted information compiled by other, earlier capital outlay study committes.
