In a majority decision at the May 13 meeting, the Rappahannock school board requested the state fire marshal to investigate a boiler malfunction that resulted in the evacuation of the high school on May 7 and 8.
The investigation is to determine if the boiler emergency was the result of mechanical failure or human error and negligence,: according to the resolution presented by Robert Eastham.
