Machines

Stolen

Two of three large cold drink machines were stolen from in front of Jenkins Garage in Amissville Sunday night. One of the vending machines, holding Pepsi products was, discovered Monday morning on the Waterloo Road at Amissville where it intersects with Route 622.

The machine's lock had been chiseled out; the coin box opened and emptied. However, the canned drinks were left intact. The machine, costing in the neighborhood of a thousand dollars, was a total loss. The second box, which distributed RC products, has not been found.

Anyone who saw or heard any disturbance in that area Sunday night should contact the Sheriff’s Department or other officer and anyone seeing or knowing the whereabouts of the RC dispenser should also make that information available, said Sheriff Buntin. Deputy Steve Crossman is investigating the incident.
