the '80-'81 county budget estimate, and the detailed breakdown of the section "Elections." you will find that the current cost of those items which occur for each election is considerably more than you have put out. “Two for the price of one" did not impress me in the case of one candidate last fall, nor does it impress me in regard to the cost of elections themselves.

You reported that 70 percent of the county's 2.785 registered voters went to the polls last November. Fortyone percent, or way less than half of them, turned out for the Referendum on June 17. Anyone who considers that a "surprisingly high” turnout needs to polish up both their math and verbal skills!
