FISH, a service for
assisting people with
problems of many kinds, was initiated July 1. Volunteer workers will provide emergency transportation, - answer questions concerning whatever topics arise, provide emergency food, shelter, etc.
4-H’ers attending annual Club Congress at Virginia Tech included Sheri Settle, Valerie Jordan, Carolyn Beahm, Kim Gilkey, and Jeff Foster.
Rappahannock set its tax rate at $4 after a hearing which was attended especially by farmers of the county. The proposed rate of $4.40 was rejected and the $4 rate approved.

retired from the Forest
Service after 25 years association and employment. Clifton “Tippy” Jenkins succeeded Mr. Johnson.
Sandra Whorton was hospitalized with injuries sustained in a collision on Route 522 early on the morning of June 25.
