Sportsmen are reminded that July 1, 1980, is the date when new hunting and fishing licenses are required in Virginia.
Fees for hunting license are: county or city resident — S3, state resident — $7.50. nonresident—S30. resident big game—$7.50. non-resident big game—$30. county, city resident trapping—$7.50, state resident trapping—$25.
License fees for Fishing are: county or city resident to fish in county or city of residence—$3, state resident to fish only—$7.50, nonresident to fish only—$15, resident or non-resident to fish statewide in private waters or public waters not stocked with trout for five consecutive days—$3. state and county resident to fish in designated waters stocked with trout in addition to regular fishing license—$4, non-resident to Fish in designated waters stocked with trout in addition to regular Fishing license—$10. national forest permit required in addition to license to hunt, fish (except on the North and South Forks of the Shenandoah) or trap on national forest—$1, county dip net permit to take shad. herring and mullet—$2.
Licenses and permits are good from July 1, 1980 through December 31, 1981.
