We wish to thank the fire companies of Sperryville, Washington, and Flint Hill, and our many friends who responded to our need at the time of our house fire. In addition, we wish to thank many friends who continue to offer help and support.
The fire was caused accidentally when an electrician was installing a 3-way switch which ignited a cardboard box and some scraps of insulation bats covered with treated paper. The ^yp^e of insulation used in our entire house is U.S. Fiber Blowing Insulation—treated cellulose which contains no silica or harmful chemicals. It is fire retardant and non-corrosive.
