altar decorated with lighted candelabra, palms and arrangement of, white. gladiolii, chrysanthemums, pompons and baby’s breath. Dr. William Russ and Dr. J. B. Flowers performed the double ring ceremony.
The bride wore an old fashioned gown of silk and taffeta with tiers of lace which formed a bustle and ended in a chapel train. The high neckline and sheer bib yoke were accented with lace and seed pearls. She carried a white Bible topped with rose buds and cascading streamers.
Diane Woten of Norfolk was matron of honor and bridesmaids were Suzi Venable and Tammy Smith of Hampton. Valerie Marsh of Raleigh, N. C., the bride’s cousin, was a junior bridesmaid. Their long gowns were blue and ivory fashioned with a high neckline and they carried bouquets of burgundy roses.
Best man was Leslie Curtis of Hampton and groomsmen were Michael Rowe, Robert Rowe and Jesse Rowe, all brothers of the bride.
A reception followed in the church social hall after which the couple left for their home in Hammond, Ind.
