The kids themselves will solicit advertising for the paper. Laurie said, and young artists in the talented part of the program will design and illustrate the ads. Youngsters involved in drama and music will present performances that will be reviewed by the paper. “We may include an article every now and then from a student somewhere else.” Laurie said, adding that she wanted Rappahannock kids to establish correspondence with kids in gifted and talented programs in other parts of the country, particularly in cities and in the western states.
Artistic Background
