On the schedule for February is a “Career Day". Farmers, writers, lawyers, potters, musicians, engineers, photographers, doctors, dancers, representatives from a host of different job fields, have agreed to take part in the special program.

At the elementary school, Laurie meets with 76 children in grades one through seven four days per week. Fridays, she spends at the high school with 45 more.

"Basically, I'm interested in helping the kids with problem solving and being creative...Intelligence is the ability to interact and to go from the known into the unknown. The more worlds and disciplines we can give kids to interact with, the more intelligence we create,” she maintained.
