Alter discussion on the possibility of recommending to the supervisors that a SWCB discharge permit be obtained before the tannery amendment is acted on, the planning commissioners voted instead on Miller’s original motion endorsing the processing of reptile and fish skins as use allowed by right in an industrial zone. With the split vote from the commissioners, the proposed amendment wil be forwarded to the supervisors with no recommendation either for or against.

Attend Meeting James Fletcher Massie of Amissville and David Thornhill of Woodville attended the young farmer seminar held recently at Graves Mountain Lodge in Syria- The two were invited to the seminar by the local Southern States board ol directors and stockholder committee. Along with other young farmers attending the session, Thornhill and Massie elected Thomas Lohr oi Broadway to a one-year term on the Southern States Cooperative’s Young Farmer Advisory Board as representative from this area.
