“I took a cut in salary when I moved here," said RCHS teacher Deborah Harris. On top of that, she said, she actually lost $5 from her extra duties in teaching a homebound student. Ms. Harris reported that she cleared $100 for two months while spending $105 in gasoline for transportation to and from the student’s home. “I declined taking two other homebound students...I don't know any high school teacher who will take homebound students because they end up losing money on it."
