News the Rappahannock Hunt of that year was described in the lead story: “In one of the most outstanding social and hunting events of the season, the Rappahannock Hunt was host to the Old Dominion Hunt and other distinguished visitors yesterday at Double Gates for the beginning of the hunt and for breakfast at Mt. Prospect."

“A field of about 40 turned out at Fletcher’s Double Gates. Among those were Col. Albert Hinckley. M.F.H.. Old Dominion Hunt; Mrs. Robert Winmill, ex-M.F.H. of Warrenton; Col. H.H.C. Richards of Rappahannock Hunt, whip G. Eastham, whip and secretary of the Rappahannock Hunt, whip W. G. Keyser, Jr. and James W. Fletcher. M.F.H. of Rappahannock Hunt, and others.”
