Mr. and Mrs. Charles C. Burke of Washington celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary on February 14 with a family party held at the Hy-Wy Restaurant in Front Royal.
The Burkes were married February 14, 1921 in Charles Town. W. Va. by the late Rev. T. M. Swann, and for the next twenty years resided in Sperryville. They later lived in Pureellville. Flume. Annandale and then Lincroft. New Jersey where they remained for 18 years operating a thoroughbred breeding and racing stable.
When Mr. Burke retired in 1968 they moved to their present residence on Blue Ridge Avenue in Washington.
