The Kick-Off Coffee held last Saturday for the annual Cancer Crusade was a great success. The turn-out was marvelous. The Cancer Society would like to thank everyone who participated, particularly Mrs. Juanda Rodgers and family for the contribution of their home for the occasion.

DAR Meets

The Rappahannock Chapter DAR meeting held March 14 at the home of Mrs. Franklin Duncan in Boston was opened with a Bible reading by the chaplain, Mrs. Duncan.

A brief discussion of the Yorktown Bicentennial on October 19 was given by Mrs. W. E. Height, Regent and Mrs. Helen Hawkins, registrar. A reading from the NSDAR National Defender was presented by Mrs. Hawkins, also.

Other present included Mrs. Roy Beck, 2nd vice Regent; Mrs. Cary Thornhill, treasurer; Mrs. William Burke, recording secretary; Mrs. George Butler, corresponding secretary; Mrs. Jesse Hawkins and Mrs. William Gibbs.
