Charges ot malicious shooting against Ernest Lee Douglas, 34, of Richmond, have been nolle prosequi by Circuit Court Judge Shore Robertson acting on the recommendation of Commonwealth attorney Douglas Baumgardner.
Douglas was accused of the malicious shooting of Peter Marx of Washington in an incident that occurred November 18, 1979, near town. Marx, the complaining witness in the case, failed to appear in court for the hearing on February 7. 1981.

Larry Wayne Dodson of Fauquier County was convicted of giving false information to a police officer, a lesser offense than the original charge of perjury.
Judge Shore Robertson sentenced Dodson to 12 months in jail, with only ten days to serve and fined him S100 plus $67.50 court costs.
