Hundreds of delighted Rappahannockers took a trio down the familiar yellow brick road last -weekend as guests of the senior class of Rappahannock High School. Under the direction of Don Bomberger, ‘‘The Wizard of Oz" came to life and seemed as fresh and wonderful as it must have been eighty years ago when L. Frank Baum’s novel was first put on stage.
The work and cooperation which went into this production was obvious from the first scene to the final curtain. Interesting sets with imaginative art work executed by students under the direction of Laurie Marshall provided the proper ambience for each scene.
