Sharon Settle has held many offices in her years at RCHS, which reflect the respect people have for her leadership and authority. She has done an excellent job this year as SCA President and last year as secretarytreasurer of the junior class. Her sophomore year she was class president and secretarytreasurer of the SCA. As ? junior, Sharon was a finalist in the U. S. Senate Youth Program. She has been a member of the chorus for three years and of the NHS for the last two years. She has an interest in drama and was in last year’s school play “Hello Dolly”' and this year’s senior play, “The Wizard of Oz”.
Sharon is an A-B student in an academic program, and finds chorus to be the most fun. One thing Sharon dislikes about school is homework. “I would rather do anything than homework and always procrastinate. 1 do it between classes and at lunch. So my worst subject is the one I have to study the most in, usually French III,” said Sharon.
This fall she will attend Bridgewater College and plans to major in physics or math, hopefully, having voice as her minor. She would like to teach first and be a pilot in later years by acquiring flight hours while teaching.
Sharon turns to her faith when asked about the most important influence in her life. She says that God is always there to listen and help her through difficult times. She says, "Everyone needs a rock to cling to.” Next to God, she says that her parents' love and guidance has helped to shape her life. Like most young people, she may not always
