new regular tires, but, unfortunately, not on snow tires. These quality grades help to reveal major differences between tires. Grades A, B and C indicate the amount of traction and temperature resistance the tire has. tvith C being passable but the lowest grade.

Tread ware is based on 100 with ranges of 70 to 220. A tire graded 100 on treadware theoretically would go 30,000 miles while one graded 150 would go one and a half times as far or 45,000 miles. However, tire wear is strongly influenced by personal habits in driving and maintenance.
