In response to continued argument from the planning commissioners in defense of the blanket prohibition against resubdivision, McNear said he had problems with the concept. “But if you don’t, leave it the way it is...Write it anyway you want!”
"It has worked to the advantage of the county in the past,” Miller maintained.
"No doubt, but I think it can work to your detriment in the future if and when growth pressures come this way,” McNear warned.
McNear suggested that the commissioners study the rough drafts of the first few chapters presented on Wednesday in preparation for more in-depth discussion at their December meeting.
At that next session, McNear said, he'll have additional chapters to present with the balance of the revised ordinance ready in time for the following month’s meeting.
