“A lot of bugs of any kind around, especially crickets coming in the house mean cold weather,” Marie Davis told us.
Animal behavior was interpreted as a clue to the coming weather. Mr. Pullen said that the heavier the coat on animals, the rougher the winter. “Well, this only makes sense,” Mr. Weaver s*id. “If the weather is cold, then the animal needs that extra fur.”
