With the Christmas mailing season upon us. Washington postmaster Carol Miller has some tips for customers to make sure that their cards and packages arrive on time and in good shape. Besides shopping and mailing early. Mrs. Miller said that customers should address cards and packages properly with the name, street number and with the city, state and ZIP code reserved for the last line. “It also helps to include a card with the recipient’s name and address along with your own address inside the package, and be sure the address on the outside of the package includes your return address and ZIP Code." the postmaster told us.
When selecting your Christmas cards, remember that Post Office rules require that envelopes be at least 3'/j inches high and 5 inches long to be accepted.
