“I think you can do roughly the same thing" on prohibiting resubdivisions, McNear said. “You just have to go about it in a different fashion."
It will prove difficult to prohibit in perpetuity the resubdivision of land zoned RS-1, some of which is in parcels considerably larger than 25 acres, McNear said. "There might be cases where resubdivision is in the public interest." he said, giving as an example a large lot around which a village has expanded.
