It "smacks of unreasonableness" to say that RS-1 land can’t ever be resubdivided, he added.
“I don’t care how we go about doing it but we must be able to (control resubdivisions),” Miller replied, pointing out that lot owners have purchased 25 acre subdivision parcels with the belief that the area can’t be carved into smaller pieces.
Most developers have gone to the route of large lots because the approval process for that type of subdivision is so much easier, according to Miller. They have done so with the understanding that the land can’t be resubdivided, he said.
