Debergh, Judge Robertson restored probation to Thomas Edward Rector, releasing him from Warren County jail.
Rector was initially placed on probation for a five-year sentence, suspended, for malicious wounding. Subsequently, he was found guilty of grand larceny in Warren County and required to serve a year in jail there. As a result, the five-year sentence from Rappahannock on the malicious wounding charge was imposed, giving Rector a total of six years in jail.
DeBergh noted that Rector has now served a quarter of that time and would be eligible for parole if in the state penitentiary. He told the court that Rector has been a trustee in Warren County and that his behavior while incarcerated has been “very satisfactory.” DeBergh added that Rector will be employed at the masonry company in Springfield where his brother is a supervisor and will live in a
