ROM THE December
21 edition of the
Rappahannock News we learn of a long-ago custom that has since been abolished, but which certainly had some merit:
“The staff at the Rappahannock News will take their annual Christmas vacation (and they surely need HI next week. They will not publish a paper on December 2ft. The next las lie uf'lhp" paper will be January 4."
The editor went on to note that the 1961 issue of the News was the largest since before 1955, as far back as records were kept.
