All areas throughout the United States are preparing for the Christmas seasonRappahannock High is no exception. If you haven’t gotten into the Christmas spirit, just entering the front hall stimulates a Yuletide feeling.
The SCA followed a newly established tradition and sponsored a door decorating contest. The homeroom with the best door was given free ice cream on Monday. Ms. Snead, a first year history teacher, had the winning door. The theme for it was taken from the poem. The Night Before Christmas.
Priest
Thomas Raymond Priest of Lignum died December 21, 1981 at his home. He was 66, a native of Amissville and the son of the late George Hilldrup and Lena Heflin Priest. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Emma Brown Estes Priest; two children. Thomas A. Priest of Martinsville and Mrs. Frances A. Hindle of Waldorf, Md.; five grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Thursday at noon from the Moody Funeral Home in Culpeper conducted by the Rev. Gordon George. Interment will be in Culpeper National Cemetery.
