The Rappahannock Water and Sewer Authority has scheduled a public hearing on Sperryville’s proposed sewage collection and treatment system for Monday. March 29. at 7:30 p.m. in the courthouse in Washington.
"This is as close to a promise as we're going to get." maintained WSA secretary Bob Dennis at Monday night's meeting in reference to a letter from the State Water Control Board reconfirming Sperryville’s ranking as fifth out of 81 health hazards in the state. According to the letter, the village held on to its number five spot and 51,417,000 in Environmental Protection Agency funds through the SWCB's recent allocation hearings for fiscal year 1983.
