The Water Control Board recommended that the county's Water and Sewer Authority proceed to development estimates on redesign costs for submission to the SWCB for consideration of payment.
At Monday's meeting, Dennis noted that engineers for the project are currently working on a grant amendment to cover redesign.

The SWCB's assurances that Sperryville is slated to get $1.417,(XX) from EPA for construction still leaves the proposed system with monthly user fees that most of the village’s residents can't afford.
Engineer Bob Deimer of Buchart-Hom Associates has estimated the total cost of the system at $1,807,800. Of that total. 75 percent of the cost of the package treatment plant and 85 percent of the cost of the collection system will be covered by the EPA grant, leaving the local share at $450,340. If that share is borrowed from the Farmers Home Administration at current interest rates, amortization will jack up monthly user fees to approximately $35 per month.
