Team Wins*
Participating in the Virginia-West Virginia ski racing championship held at Bryce Mountain and Homestead. Wakefield School s Ski Racing Team captured 1st and 2nd places in the 14-18 age category. Wakefield sophomore Frans Hansen and junior Ruth Holliday took first and second place in the Li. S. Ski Association slalom, qualifying the team for the Mid-Eastern regional competition to be held in February at Elk Mountain. Pa.
Wakefield ski coach Fred Andreae also reports that his team won 1 gold. 2 silver, and 2 bronzes medals in NASTAR races on Sunday.
