In response to a question from Nancy Reeve, Estabrook said that once the school board is responsible for paying the unemployment claims, it can choose to continue the arrangement followed by the supervisors whereby claims are paid by the state and then reimbursed in total by the employer or it can make regular monthly contributions (based on number of employees) to a fund from which unemployment claims are then paid by the state.
