Culpeper Memorial Hospital. The cause of death was hypothermia. Reportedly, the 63-year-old sat in his car in the Culpeper Shopping Center for more than 24 hours until he perished from exposure. Neither the police nor people shopping and working in the area did anything to help Leake, apparently for fear of infringing on the man’s rights.
