Initially, the school board was under the impression that this new arrangement would not be implemented until next year and that reimbursement would continue to come from the general fund for the balance of this fiscal year. Estabrook noted.
He reported, however, that clerk Diane Bruce had informed him that the school board would be expected to reimburse the state for unemployment claims from its former employees this fiscal year unless the board formally notified the supervisors that the school budget could not absorb the expense.
