O’Bannon
Silas Lillard O'Bannon. 80, of Warrenton died Saturday, January 16, 1982. at Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton.
Graveside services were conducted Tuesday at Fairview Cemetery by the Rev. Joseph S. Stirman and Rev. John S. Farrar.
A native of Culpeper County, Mr. O'Bannon was the son of the late Charles William and Mildred Pulliam O'Bannon.
He was a farmer and a veteran of World War II. He was a deacon of Amissville Baptist Church and a member of the Amissville Ruritan Club.
He is survived by his w’ife. Mrs. Mary Virginia Smith O'Bannon; one son, William O'Bannon of Culpeper; a daughter. Mrs. Peggy Norris of Culpeper; and 'two grandchildren.
Also surviving are five sisters, Mrs. Margaret Saunders, Miss Mary O'Bannon and Mrs. Emily Harris, all of Culpeper. Mrs. Caroline Bowen of Arlington and Mrs. Lucy Cannon of McLean.
Pallbearers were Charlie Compton. Stanish Riley. Graham Hackley, Jim Thompson, Preston Pulliam. Thomas Hughes, Dabney Eastham and Wayman Carter.
