The rough draft of Rappahannock's revised zoning ordinance will include changes in flood plain regulations that will allow at least limited development in Sperryville.
At Wednesday's meeting of the county planning commission, Dick McNear reviewed a few final proposals before he compiles the rough draft of the zoning ordinance for presentation at the commission’s May 19 session. “It seems to me that you should go by soils (to delineate a flood plain district) but then in a village zone, allow residential development by spceial permit.”
