Delegates

County Democrats met at the courthouse on April 19 and selected Lee Bird, Pearl Clarke, Mary Edna Schaefer and Ed Bailey as local delegates to the party’s cupcoming state and district conventions.

Chosen as alternates were Truman Keesey and Douglas Baumgardner. Officers reelected for the coming year include Bird as chairman, Dorothy Davis as vicechairman, Schaefer as secretary and Bailey as treasurer.

Bridge Club

Mrs. Charles K. Estes was hostess to the Sperryville Bridge Club 'Friday evening at her home.

Guests were Mrs. T. J. Pillar, Mrs. W. H. Cordle, Mrs. 1. R. Kilby, Mrs. L. J. Kilby, Mrs. Charles H. Estes, Mrs. Frances Tabler, Mrs. Roy L. Reeve and Mrs. Brown Miller.

Prizes were won by Mrs. L. J. Kilby, Mrs. Reeve and Mrs. Tabler.
