Seeking A Solution

To Drug Problems School superintendent Robert Estabrook has scheduled a special meeting to address drug abuse in Rappahannock with the aim of involving the entire community in finding a solution. Estabrook emphasized that this is a continuing issue rather than a sudden outbreak of a new problem. “We want to look at how Rappahannock County can best deal with drug use by our young people,” he explained. Parents, students, ministers, professionals, doctors, business people, scout and 4-H leaders and any interested persons, particularly those involved with youth, are urged to attend the session which is set for Tuesday, May 4, at 7:30 p.m. in the elementary school library.

Benefit Dinner Set A benefit dinner, sponsored by the Sperryville Ladies Auxiliary will be served Saturday, May 8, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Sperryville fire hall. Carryout orders will be available from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Menu will consist of turkey and trimmings, meat loaf, vegetables, salads, desserts and beverages. Tickets may be purchased from any auxiliary member. Prices are $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for children under 12.
