Mrs. Olive Virginia Hitt, 76, of Fredericksburg died Monday, May 3, 1982, at Fredericksburg Nursing Home.
A former resident of Culpeper, she was the daughter of the late Gideon Jackson and Albena Woodward Elliott and a native of Rappahannock County. She was the widow of Marvin Cole Hitt.
She is survived by two sons, Marvin Hitt Jr. and Richard Hitt, both of Fredericksburg; one brother, Ralph Elliott of Fairfax; a sister, Mrs. Emma Frazier of Culpeper; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday at the GeestJohnson Funeral Chapel in Culpeper. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery.
