The Area Agency on Aging will sponsor a senior citizen jamboree, recognizing May as Older Americans Month, May 27 from 10:30 to 2:30 at Mountain Run Lake in Culpeper. Rain date will be May 28.
The jamboree will include the 1982 checkers tournament, horseshoe tournament, croquet tournament, fishing, music, dominoes, vintage car rides and a hat contest.
A chicken picnic supper will be served at noon. The supper can be paid for on the same sliding scale as Nutrition Center meals.
Any senior citizen wishing to attend this event should make advance reservations by calling Anita Richards at 825-6494, 672-1717, or 3470440 before Wednesday, May 19th.
