John Newman (Ollie) Dodson, 66 years of age, Huntsman for Rappahannock's Master of Foxhounds James W. Fletcher from 1957-1966, died May 7, 1982, when a tractor turned over with hitn.
During the hearty, spontaneous years while Ollie handled hounds, Rappahannock hunted vigorously whenever the spirit moved, and—as those of us knew who followed Ollie Dodson on his courageous old steeplechaser, Benton Boy, and Master Jim Bill Fletcher on his indomitable grey Katie—the spirit could move almost anytime of day or night! In an uncanny way both Master and Huntsman sensed prime times simultaneously. Then when hounds struck, they led us tearing up steep hillsides.
