The Culpeper Soil and Water Conservation District will join in the nationwide celebration of Soil Stewardship Week on May 16-23, 1982. The theme of this year’s celebration is “A Time for Tenacity.” “This is ‘A Time for Tenacity’ in our faith, in concept, in communication, in cooperation, in the political arena, in experiments and research, in leadership, in priorities, and in total commitment,” cites the National Association of Conservation Districts in the 16-page Soil Stewardship Week booklet.

Is Fund Raiser
Sixth graders at Rappahannock County Elementary School will present a fund-raising play. “The Sixth Juror,” to be performed in conjunction with the SPTA meeting on May 19 at 7:30 p.m. in the school auditorium.
Students acting in the production include. Sean Wayland, Butch Foster, Marc Wiley, Kelly Sisk, Randy Jenkins, Elizabeth Jenkins, David Fisher. Angie Armentrout, Leslie Nichols, Roy Alther, Shane Thomp son, Rolanda Cook, Jennifer Vierling and John Rinker.
A donation of SI for adults and 50 cents for students is requested. Proceeds from the play will be used to finance the class trip to Williamsburg in 1983.
Tickets may be purchased from any sixth grader or at the door on the night of the performance.
