To the editor:
I was one of the delegates to the Seventh Congressional District Republican Convention in Stafford County this past Saturday. As expected, our fine and capable Congressman, J. Kenneth Robinson, was renominated and unanimously elected to be our Republican candidate this November to the House of Representatives.
What was not expected were some facts and figures we heard that I think should be brought to your attention and may be of interest to your readers.

Success
To the editor:
The Sperryville Volunteer Fire Department’s Ladies Auxiliary wishes to thank each and every person who supported our dinners and gave donations of their time. They have made it possible for us to report another successful dinner; this one on May 8th, from which all proceeds will go entirely to the Fire Department.
The door prize given away at the dinner went to Steve Wiley of Sperryville. The country ham was awarded to Randolph Clater of Sperryville and Mother’s Day, cake to W. C. Johnson of Woodville.
Again, we thank you all and look forward to seeing you when we resume our monthly dinners in the early fall.
