“I’ll have a stack of ordinances ready for you at next month’s meeting,” Dick McNear assured the Rappahannock planning commissioners at last Wednesday’s session.
A resident of Rappahannock and professional planner for neighboring Fauquier, McNear has served as an ex officio member of the planning commission here, directing the commissioners through a year-long review of local zoning ordinances.
After the revised regulations come off the word processor at the Rappahannock-Rapidan Planning District offices, McNear suggested one final work session on the complete package before the new ordinance is taken to publichearing. Reporting that planning district director John Capelle had guaranteed that the 180 pages of zoning regulations would be finished by the August commission meeting, McNear promised to alert the commissioners as soon as copies are available.
