Crab Feast Planned
Moose Lodge 439 will hold a fund-raining crab feast for the joint benefit of the lodge and the Washington Volunteer Fire Department on Saturday, July 30.
Tickets for the all-you-can-eat affair are $8 in advance and $10 at the door, children 7-12 years $2 and ages six and under free. Crabs will be served from 3 to 8 p.m. There will be dancing from 4 until midnight with music provided by the Country Roundup.
Advance tickets are available at Sperryville Corner Store, Burke’s Grocery, B&B Service Center, Baldwin’s Grocery, Fast Eddy’s Crabs, Settle’s Grocery, Black Kettle Restaurant and Flint Hill Flea Market.
Folks who don’t want to partake of crabs are welcome to come for the dancing after 8 at $10 per couple.

At Story Hour
Films scheduled for the Rappahannock Library’s summer story hour series on Wednesday, August 3, are Dr. Seuss on the Loose, Ferdinand the Bull, Hi, Neighbor and Chicken Little.
The free films will be shown at Trinity Episcopal Church’s parish hall beginning at 10 a. m.
