back to camp to change and eat.
That evening we went to see “The Lost Colony,” an outdoor pageant about England’s first attempt to colonize the New World. When we got back to camp, we ( were confined to our tents so 1 our weight would keep them i from blowing away.
During the night there i was a thunderstorm with rain and strong winds. Early Wednesday morning two of the tents blew over and two poles were bent. Most of our stuff was wet. After we got five of our six tents back up and staked down with special stakes meant to hold tents in sand and got our gear dried out, we went to ride the ferry boat over to Ocracoke Island. When we got to Ocracoke Island we went to a few shops. Then we went to get in line to come back on the ferry.
After we checked to make sure our tents were still up, we went to a crab feast at the Salvo firehouse put on by the Salvo Fire Department and Boy Scouts. We ate so many crabs that we got belly aches.
When we got Isack to camp, we put together a crab pot and went crabbing. We caught one crab that w£ named Herman. Then we let him go. Next we went down to the beach to see if we could find any ghost crabs in the moonlight. We didn’t see any. When we got back to camp, we helped some people put up their tents. Then we hit the sack.
