REDS At Gay Street Theater
REDS, the award winning biographical Vilm directed by Warren Beatty and starring Beatty and Diane Keaton, will be shown three times this week because of the labor day holiday.
The RAAC film selection will be shown at 8:00 Saturday and 7:00 Sunday and Monday, all at the Gay Street Theater.
Baldwin Reunion
The annual all-day Baldwin family reunion will be held on Saturday, September 3, at the Rappahannock County Park. Those attending are asked to bring a picnic lunch and plan to eat at 1 p.m.
Auxiliary Meeting
Rescheduled
The regular monthly meeting of the Sperryville Ladies Auxiliary scheduled for Monday has been postponed due to the Labor Day holiday and will be held on Tuesday, September 6 at 7:30 p.m.
Marie Atkins, president of the club, urges all members to note the change and attend the Tuesday meeting.
Fun Day Planned
Masonic Lodge #1897 will have their annual fun day on Monday, September 5, beginning at 12 noon at Horseshoe Hill Park on Route 211, Sperryville. There will be games and refreshments throughout the afternoon. The public is invited.
Pancake Supper
A pancake supper will be held at the Chester Gap carnival grounds on Saturday, September 10 from 4 to 6 p.m.
Prices are $3 for adults and $1.50 for children under six. Proceeds will benefit the Chester Gap Ladies Auxiliary and the fire department. The public is urged to support this fund raising event.
Bluemonl Fair
The 14th annual Bluemont Fair will be staged September 17 and 18, 10-5.
Admission is $2 for adults, children under 12 free. Bluemont is located 18 miles west of Leesburg on Route 7. For further information, call Loudoun County’s Visitor’s Center, 777-0519.
