The newly organized group will meet again on Tuesday, September 6, at 7:30 p.m. in Sursum Corda School to discuss further the high school expansion and improvements to the gifted and talented offerings which last year at the high school consisted of a summer course for eight RCHS students at Piedmont Vocational Center. “There are a lot of people still scratching their heads over this year’s program,” noted O’Meara.
In the meantime, volunteers agreed to work on drafting a letter to the supervisor candidates, compiling a directory that lists the parents of Rappahannock students at both schools, checking that list against registered voters and organizing a voter registration drive aimed at parents.
Anyone interested in the aims of the new citizens’ group is invited to the meeting next Tuesday night at Sursum Corda.
